About Scope
Scope is an applied AI company backed by Pear VC, one of Silicon Valley's most respected pre-seed funds and an early investor in DoorDash, Gusto, Dropbox, and Vanta.
We build custom AI systems and agents for the operational workflows that established businesses still run across email, spreadsheets, ERPs, and multiple teams. Current work includes procurement agents that take purchase requests through supplier quotes and issued orders; finance agents that apply payments and reconcile accounts; and customer-service agents that track orders, manage delivery incidents, and carry returns and claims through resolution.
Instead of using a fraction of a platform built for someone else, companies get tools built around their workflows, their exceptions, and their way of operating. We go into the back office, where work crosses disconnected systems and critical know-how sits with a few experienced people, and build the right mix of software, automation, and AI.
We are already working with enterprise clients, and our customer base is growing. We are expanding a small team with broad ownership and direct contact with customers to turn these workflows into production systems.
About the Role
The AI Strategist works alongside a Lead AI Strategist to turn client operating problems into working production systems. You will help understand how an area of the business operates, structure the problem, shape the solution, and own defined workstreams through implementation and rollout.
This role combines client work, product thinking, and technical curiosity. You should be comfortable speaking with executives and operators, analyzing an unfamiliar workflow, and working with engineers to turn what you learn into a system that works in practice.
We value learning speed and ownership over a finished playbook. Depending on your background, your work may include process analysis, product requirements, prototyping with AI tools, testing workflows, coordinating engineers, or supporting a production rollout. You do not need to arrive as a production engineer, but you must be eager to understand the technology and build sound judgment quickly.
An AI Strategist can grow by owning larger workstreams, leading more of the client discovery, and taking responsibility for full deployments. Consistent performance at that level can lead to a Lead AI Strategist role, with broader ownership of client relationships, delivery teams, and implementation outcomes.
The role is remote in Bogotá, Buenos Aires, or Mexico City today. Opportunities may also emerge to relocate within Latin America or to the United States. Any relocation would be explored based on mutual interest, business needs, and the immigration options available at the time.
You will join Scope's founding team and shape how the company delivers its most important work. The role has broad responsibility from the start and the opportunity to build the deployment model, team, and local presence as Scope grows in Latin America.
Responsibilities
- Participate in discovery with executives, process owners, operators, and technology teams.
- Map workflows, systems, data, constraints, and operating knowledge with client teams.
- Analyze opportunities based on business value and implementation reality.
- Turn discovery findings into clear requirements, work plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Own defined workstreams within deployments led by a Lead AI Strategist.

- Support rollout, production stabilization, and adoption with client users.
- Turn deployment lessons into reusable methods and components.

- 2–4 years of experience, with evidence of increasing responsibility and strong learning speed.
- For the product and technology path: experience in product management, product operations, implementation, or a related role, with ownership of a product or initiative through launch.
- For the strategy consulting path: experience at Bain, BCG, McKinsey, or a comparable firm, with strong product instincts, technical curiosity, and comfort with high-stakes client work.
- Ability to structure an ambiguous operating problem, identify what matters, and turn analysis into a practical plan.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly and work credibly with engineers, even when you are not writing the production code yourself.
- Clear written and verbal communication with business, operational, and technical audiences.
