What does Scope do?
Scope is an applied AI consultancy. We help companies identify where AI creates real business value, then design and deploy custom production-grade AI systems built around their specific processes, playbooks, and institutional knowledge. We work end to end, from discovery through architecture through deployment, with infrastructure, security, and observability built in from day one.
How is Scope different from a traditional systems integrator or AI consultant?
Traditional systems integrators implement off-the-shelf software and reshape the business around it. That model worked when human-operated SaaS was the only available foundation. It's the wrong starting point for an era of autonomous AI systems. Scope builds custom AI systems that embed your existing workflows and institutional knowledge. We use existing tools via APIs where they make sense, but we don't force you to reshape your operations around someone else's software.
What kinds of AI systems does Scope build?
We build across four categories: automation systems, agentic workflows, analytical systems, and knowledge systems. Past engagements include at-scale customer onboarding agents for a Series D SaaS company, data migration agents for enterprise software, RFP and vendor evaluation systems, contract drafting and verification agents, lead discovery and outbound engines, and AI-powered sales intelligence layers. The common thread isn't a particular technology stack. It's that every system is shaped around how the specific company actually operates.
What is Scope's methodology?
Discover, Design, Deploy. In Discover, we map your workflows, playbooks, and decision processes, identifying where AI creates the most leverage. Our platform structures this context automatically, reaching depth that most consultants take months to build. In Design, every solution is architected around your specific business logic rather than a generic template. In Deploy, we ship production-grade systems with infrastructure, security, and observability built in from the start, not bolted on later.
What is the Scope platform?
The Scope platform is a three-layer foundation we use to build and deploy AI systems faster than from-scratch consulting allows. The Context Layer captures your company's processes, data, and institutional knowledge in structured form. The Orchestration layer runs the agents, workflows, and decision logic. The Use Cases layer is where deployed solutions live. Because every engagement plugs into the same foundation, capabilities compound. Each new system builds on the context and orchestration already in place.
How long does a Scope engagement take?
Timelines scale with scope. Our platform compresses the discovery phase substantially compared to traditional consulting, which means we start building meaningfully sooner than a from-scratch engagement would allow. We share a concrete timeline after an initial scoping conversation, since the right answer depends on the systems involved, the data you're working with, and how the solution needs to integrate with what you already run.
Who owns the AI systems Scope builds?
You do. The code, models, system architecture, and any intellectual property we create as part of an engagement belong to your company. The systems run on infrastructure you control, integrate with the tools you already use, and are yours to evolve, extend, or hand off to an in-house team as your organization grows. We don't lock clients into proprietary deployments.
Does Scope require committing to a long-term platform?
No. Our platform (the Context Layer, Orchestration, and Use Cases stack) is the foundation we use to deliver engagements efficiently, but it isn't a lock-in. Where existing tools serve a need well, we integrate with them via API. Where they don't, we build from scratch. Either way, what we deliver is yours, and you're free to extend, replace, or migrate components on your own terms.
Who works at Scope?
Scope's team brings together engineers, AI researchers, and operators from BCG, BCG X, Stanford, Stanford AI Lab, Meta, and Pear VC. We pair deep technical capability with hands-on experience inside the operations our clients run, which is how we cut through positioning and identify where AI creates leverage instead of overhead.
